I recently wrote about my “All-Time Favorite Post” as part of my new blog hop/writing exercise called Time Warp Tuesdays. It was interesting and therapeutic to revisit my favorite post and see how far my family and I have come since I wrote it in March 2009.
Angie, from Still Life with Circles, had another awesome idea for a blog round up recently. I participated in her last wonderful blog hop/writing exercise, the Right Where I Am project, earlier this year for which I wrote about “right where I was” 3 Years, 1 Month, 4 Weeks out from the birth and death of our baby girl Molly. When thinking about which post I wanted to read for Angie’s moving Spoken Word Blog Round Up, I considered a number of blog entries that have been especially meaningful to me over the years. But in the end, I kept coming back to this one and chose to read it aloud and share it with you.
This is the second time that I have done a “vlog” (video + blog). My first time around I did it to participate in Redbook Magazine and Resolve’s “Truth About Trying” video campaign. For my “I Wish I’d Known…” video, I tried to be open, honest and candid about my journey through secondary infertility and loss.
Today I am trying to do that again as I give you another glimpse of me, beyond just what you read here on my blog. Here is my favorite blog post, called Grace and the Odds, in my own voice:
Thank you for reading, watching and listening.

Thank you for sharing. I was writing about how Grey's has touched me journey just the other day. I came over last week from Keiko's post on a Time Warp Tuesday and have been enjoying your insights. Thank you!
You are welcome dspence! How interesting that you were just writing about your experience with Grey's touching your journey. I am glad that you found my blog via Keiko's and that you are enjoying my insights. I really appreciate your kind words. Thank you for visiting. Heading over to visit your blog now! 🙂
This really moved me and though our stories are different, there is so much in here I can relate to. Thank you so much for sharing.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your dear Molly and that you have ended up on the sharp end of the odds. It's a very, very difficult place to be. Thank you for sharing this beautiful post xo
Thank you for sharing this beautiful post. I loved the conversation between Lexi and Izzy…and odds lost their meaning for us after we lost Faith, Grace, and Thomas. The ten year old waiting in the front room for his cinnamon roles this morning certainly doesn't care about the odds. =) Thank you for sharing your honest struggle with the desire to embrace hope and life, while dealing with the reality of the odds. Blessings to you…
What a fabulous quote from Grey's anatomy. I've heard lots of people raving about it – I've never seen it. Maybe I should check it out 🙂
You read so beautifully and naturally. Thank you for taking the time to participate in the vlog project.
As with your Redbook video, so much fun to be able to see & hear you, Kathy, as well as read your words. : ) I remember this post; I can see why it's your favourite.
