RE says "dont’ panic" & "it is very common!"

I just spoke with our RE who emphasized that brown discharge is VERY common in early pregnancy and to PLEASE not panic! He said that even if it increases and becomes pink or red, that we should ONLY be concerned if I pass large clots or have heavy bleeding, like that of a regular period and/or have labor like pain. He said the fact that we saw a heartbeat on the ultrasound a little over a week ago is a very good sign that our little embryo is developing on track and not to worry. He confirmed that we are due to come in on Monday for our next ultrasound/OB visit and indicated that he didn’t think it was necessary for us to be seen sooner. I reminded him of our history of miscarriages, but he still didn’t seemed concerned. So after hearing our RE’s convincing case for “not panicking” and brown discharge being “very common,” I decided to continue to trust his judgement and take his word for it, that likely our embryo is fine now and will be in the days, weeks and months to come.

Thank you for letting me vent my anxiety earlier, even though I do believe that our baby is okay, it was/is still scary to have such discharge during a pregnancy, especially with our history.

Thank you also for your support, positive thoughts, sticky vibes and prayers!!! 🙂

P.S. T-Girl, thank you for reminding me about Sommer’s success story! When I really think about it, I do know a lot of others, but the more I can hear right now for reassurance and validation, the better! Thanks again! 🙂
