Beta Eve!

in FET #1, Sean

`Twas the night before Beta and all through our abode,
lots of celebrating went on, which lightened our load.
Bob’s 32nd birthday and a last minute touchdown — Bears win!
Both helped to forget the state of waiting we’ve been in.
We tucked Sean in bed and kissed him goodnight.
Then Bob gave me a PIO shot, will it be the last in near sight?

If negative is the result of tomorrow’s blood test,
we will try to focus on making the best
of the days to come before our next try,
and hopefully not get too caught up in wondering why?

If positive is the news we receive,
finding out we are pregnant may be hard to believe.
We are hoping and praying that our embryo stuck.
Miracles happen, with God’s will and some good luck.

Thank you for sharing this journey we’re on,
no matter the results that might come after dawn.
We’re grateful for family and friends who so care
and with you behind us, there’s nothing we can’t bear!

I love this. It’s so funny, before I had gotten your message about this post, I was thinking last night, “it feels like Christmas Eve!” 😀 Thanks for sharing with me in my hour of need, Kathy!

Once again, you amaze me with your poetic cleverness. It’s bittersweet to look back on this time, but your last line really helps put the emphasis on the sweet.
