It’s Thursday! Which means it my day to write about this week’s prompt over at The Today Voice.
I know it has been a busy week when the last post on my blog was another “Thursday’s Voice” one and both that and this one are linking to writing that I did elsewhere. Between Sean having been off school because of the Chicago Teachers Union Strike all of last week and this week until Wednesday, Abby’s third birthday on Monday and various other wonderful, but time-consuming events and tasks, I have spent limited time online. I hope and intend to get back into the swing of things here when things slow down in the near future… Yeah, right! We’ll see about that, but in the meantime, I hope that you enjoy my latest entry over at The Today Voice.
Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm since we launched our new writing project in July. I especially appreciate those of you have taken time to comment on my posts over there and share your thoughts on the prompts each week here and/or there.

The prompt for this week is:
What is the first memory you have?
This is a timely post as this weekend we are celebrating my mother’s 70th birthday and thus I have been reflecting on my childhood and life as her daughter and friend. As I shared in my post, my earliest memories take place in a house that my family lived in until right after I turned four. I only have a handful of memories from living there, but I know they are my first ones, because of where they happened.
