I just got home from my 3 hour glucose test and am proud to say that I survived and it wasn’t too horrible! The phlabotomists (sp?) there teased me that I was getting to spend 1/2 a shift with them today. I read many back issues of Newsweek, that I haven’t had time to catch up on in awhile, and feel very up to date on my current events and also lots of random and interesting news stories.
My parents graciously had Sean overnight at their house and were taking him this morning to a local children’s museum that he loves. I am glad that he got to do something so fun with them during his spring break from preschool, while I was fasting, drinking orange soda and having my blood drawn four times today.
Anyway, the results sould be in by our next appointment on Thursday. In the meantime, I can report that Molly has been fairly active, for her at least, especially this morning after I drank the orange soda during the test. So I am predicting that she will not pass before our appointment on Thursday. But who knows. I am trying to conitnue to connect with her and cherish however long I/we may have left with her.
Thank you for your messages, emails, phones calls, thoughts and prayers. Your continued support and encouragment means so much to me and our family.
Love, Kathy
