I sure hope so! 😉
Today I am 6 weeks 1 day pregnant and over the past few days “morning sickness” (more like all day sickness) has really started to set in. It is totally bearable, especially knowing that it is likely a good sign that the baby is growing and developing as it should! 🙂 However, it is an adjustment to get use to this way of life again. It helps to have crackers at my bedside for before I go to sleep, in the middle of the night or first thing when I wake up. “They” say to try to never let your stomach get completely empty or low on food, in effort to not feel as sick. I haven’t and don’t think I will actually throw up, I only did so three times during my pregnancy with Sean. My experience of morning sickness can be best described as a constant feeling of sea-sickness or as one of my friend’s recently described her experience of it, feeling like you always have a hangover!
Tomorrow is our big day, our first ultrasound and we are very excited and a little anxious! 🙂 I will certainly check in afterwards and let you know how it goes.
Yesterday I got a “day off” from Mommy duties and went with some of my neighborhood girlfriends to a local outlet mall for a “girls day out” of shopping! It was a lot of fun! 🙂 I didn’t buy that much (especially in the way of clothes for me, since my body is in a transitional time), but I really enjoyed the time with my girlfriends and helping them pick out things to buy as well! We also had a relaxing sit down lunch at a restaurant near by the mall that was tasty and the conversation was great too! When I got home I was exhausted and fell asleep on the couch soon after dinner and getting Sean down for the night.
Today we plan to grocery shop this morning, then go to church (Sean has his Sunday school class) and then take it easy here at home.
Thank you for your support, kind words, positive thoughts, sticky vibes and prayers! I can’t believe that tomorrow’s ultrasound is almost here! 🙂
