I got a call from one of the nurses at our RE’s office a little while ago and she told me that today’s Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) level was 1393! That means it more than doubled from 585 on Monday! It’s actual doubling time was 38.35 hours and my understanding is that we want for it to double in at least 48 hours at this point. My progesterone level was 33, which the nurse also said was very good! I believe that during pregnancy they like for it to be at least over 20. I forgot to ask on Monday what my progesterone level was.
Today I am 13dp5dt (18dpo) & 4 weeks 5 days pregnant!
Getting this news this afternoon continues to help Bob and me believe that this is really happening and that at least thus far our embryo appears to be healthy and growing as it should be! 🙂
I will have my 3rd Beta blood test this Friday at 10:00 a.m. and I think it is suppose to continue to double between now and then, so we will be looking for a number around 2786. Again, I will get a call that afternoon with the results.
If all goes well on Friday, then our next appointment will be on Monday, November 5 at 9:45 a.m. for our first pregnancy ultrasound (u/s) and OB visit with our RE! 🙂
The women who took my blood this morning mentioned that usually at the first u/s, our RE will start to try to “wean” me off some of the medications, a little at a time. She said they he usually lets his patients pick which form of progesterone and estrogen they want to remove from their daily routine first. So we would get to decide if we wanted to drop the patches or pills first and also if we wanted to stop the PIO injections or suppositories first. I thought that was interesting!
This morning I bought a frame a Babies R Us that is designed to hold an ultrasound picture. It says on it “So Little… So Loved” and I thought it captured perfectly how we feel about our little miracle. When I got home I put the u/s picture from the day of the ET and hope if all goes well, to update it throughout our pregnancy if and when we get other pictures of our growing baby!
On a side note, our first miracle, Sean is getting really excited about Halloween next week! He is going to dress up as Remi the Rat from the movie Ratatouille! He has been talking a lot about his costume and going trick-or-treating! Fun, fun, fun!!! 🙂
Thank you for your continued support, positive thoughts, sticky vibes and prayers!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
