We are on our way home from a fun and relaxing week long vacation at Bob’s parents and uncle’s summer home in Michigan! Sean is napping in his car seat, so I thought I would check in.
Today I am 4dp5dt (4 days past 5 day transfer/9 days past ovulation). I am not going to bother with a “symptom watch” this time around, as I am convinced that with IVF#1, that what I thought were symptoms of pregnancy, were actually side effects of the medications I was on then and am taking now.
That said, it doesn’t mean that I am not hoping and praying that our little miracle has implanted and is burrowing into my uterus for the long haul, I am just not going to waste my time reading too much into anything. Especially because the PIO shots and Estraderm patched are designed to help support a pregnancy and thus are bound to make my body, if not my mind, believe that I am expecting.
Only 6 more days until the Beta blood test, which will tell us definitively if this try worked. As of now I do not plan to do any home pregnancy tests (HPTs), but that may change in the days to come.
Two of Sean’s cousins, who are close to his age, came up to the cottage in MI yesterday and the three boys had such a great time playing together! Sean rode a jet ski with his Daddy twice this week and even went tubing twice!! 🙂 Bob water-skied twice, which he so enjoys and is very good at! 🙂
After the ET on Tuesday, I basically took it easy on the couch for 48 hours to try not to interfere with potential implantation. During that time I watched part of the “Up” series, which follows people in England every 7 years from age 7. A friend had lent it to me and I found it very interesting! I only got as far as when they were 21, but will watch the rest someday.
Another thing I have been doing, since the ER actually, is eating lots of fresh pineapple! I read somewhere that “they” say it can help with implantation. So I was/am determined to test the theory this cycle and in the past week and a half or so have taken out 5 pineapples and plan to eat at least one more over the next few days! 😉
Well, typing on Bob’s Blackberry, while he is driving is making me a bit carsick, so I will wrap this up. Thank you for your continued support, encouragement, comments, positive thoughts and prayers (especially for our little embryo who has either likely implanted and hopefully is in it for the long haul by now or soon will be making his/her way out with my period and its soul will be joining our other angel babies in heaven).
