It has been nice to have a day with out shots, as I finished my Ganerelix last night and did my trigger and don’t start the Progesterone-In-Oil (PIO) injections until tomorrow evening! Bob and I went to bed early last night and got a good night sleep. I dreamt that I was in an Irish fisherman’s sweater shop looking at the sweaters, which was funny as my parents are taking a trip to Ireland later this month and yesterday we were talking about ideas for souvenirs, for them to bring home for Bob, Sean and me, and that is what I requested for all of us! Sean did go to bed early last night, as planned, since he didn’t nap, but then got up at 5:20 a.m. this morning! Bob actually had to get up early for work today, so he was kind enough to get Sean dressed and give him breakfast, before waking me up at 6:30 a.m. when he was walking out the door to catch the train.
This morning Sean and I picked up my mother-in-law and her mother (my grandmother-in-law) and went to see the movie Charlotte’s Web at our local movie theater, that shows free movies on Wednesday mornings. Sean and I had gone just the two of us last Wednesday and I thought it would be fun to invite them this time. We all really enjoyed it! Sean owns the DVD, so he has seen it many times, but it never gets old to him and I too, get something new out of it every time we watch it. Afterwards, Sean’s great grandma, or “GG” as her 10 great grandchildren refer to her, treated us all to a yummy lunch at Bakers Square!
Once again, Sean missed his nap this afternoon, but that’s okay, once again, he can go to bed early and I will be able to take it easy and watch “So You Think You Can Dance!” I am sure that it is Wednesday this time and that it is on! 😉 Bob will be going to the wake of one of his closest friends from high school’s grandmother who passed away this week. If Sean had napped and I wasn’t having surgery first thing tomorrow morning, we would go. But I think it is best tonight that Bob represent our family and give our sympathies.
Watching Charlotte’s Web this morning reminded me of the importance of friendship and how blessed and lucky I am to have such wonderful and caring family and friends. As the credits rolled, when the movie ended, the song Ordinary Miracle by Sarah McLachlan was playing. It is a song that I downloaded from the movie’s soundtrack awhile back and really like the tune of and lyrics to. I know that so many ordinary miracles happen in my, and all of our, lives every day and thought I would share the lyrics with you as I sign off from this post. Thank you for reading and for your thoughts and prayers as we prepare for the ER! Until tomorrow…
Ordinary Miracle
It’s not that unusual
When everything is beautiful.
It’s just another ordinary miracle today.
The sky knows when its time to snow,
Don’t need to teach a seed to grow.
It’s just another ordinary miracle today.
Life is like a gift they say
Wrapped up for you everyday;
Open up and find a way
To give some of your own.
Isn’t it remarkable?
Like every time a rain drop falls,
It’s just another ordinary miracle today.
Birds in winter have their fling
But always make it home by spring.
It’s just another ordinary miracle today.
When you wake up everyday
Please don’t throw your dreams away;
Hold them close to your heart
Cause we’re all a part
Of the ordinary miracle.
Ordinary miracle
Do you want to see a miracle?
ohh ohh ohh, ohhh ohh ohh…
It seems so exceptional
That things just work out after all.
It’s just another ordinary miracle today.
Sun comes up and shines so bright
And disappears again at night.
It’s just another ordinary miracle today.
ohh ohh ohh, ohh ohhh ohh…
It’s just another ordinary miracle today.
