My 6th monitoring appointment for this cycle was this morning (day 11 of stimming). The u/s tech measured 9 follicles (1 – 23, 2 – 19, 2 – 18.5, 1 – 15, 1 – 13 & 2 – 10). She didn’t note any that were under 10mm, but I imagine based on previous monitoring from this cycle that there were between 3 and 4 less than 10mm. My endometrium was still around 9 line and my E2 (estrogen level) from yesterday was 1004. The nurse I debriefed with after my blood work felt confident I would trigger tonight and said she would call me later this afternoon with the time for both tonight and Thursday morning (for the ER). I am getting excited and feel cautiously optimistic! I was surprised that one of the follicles jumped up to 23mm, when they seemed to be developing at a more consistent rate the past few days. But overall it seems to me that there are a good number of follicles at an appropriate level of maturity for retrieval in two days! My additional meds did arrive in time, this morning, so I will have everything I need for tonight (to trigger and do my final Ganerelix injection).
I continue to be sore and very tired today. One of our neighborhood friends watched Sean this morning during my appointment, which I really appreciated. Afterwards, Sean and I hung out at their home and had lunch with the mom, son (who is a year older than Sean) and daughter. It was great to catch up with my friend (the mom) who I hadn’t seen in awhile, Sean and her son played well together and her daughter, who is about 7 months old now, was absolutely adorable (so cute and smiley)! Sean also played well with the baby girl, doing peek-a-boo to entertain her and she would smile really big and giggle, which he got a kick out of! Once again, we missed his nap today, but he will go down early, so I can have a more low key night. We may have a “Mommy and Sean Movie Day” this afternoon, to keep things low key, so I can rest on the couch.
I will check back in later after I have the time for triggering tonight and the ETA for Thursday’s ER, assuming that things go as predicted/planned. Thank you for reading, your support, thoughts and prayers!
