Time with Molly

Five weeks ago today our Molly Marie was born and went to Heaven. It’s hard to believe that much time has passed since we held our baby girl. Here is a video that I made with the pictures our bereavement photographer Karen took for us on Molly’s birthday. I set the picture slide show to one of my favorite songs “Time” by Billy Porter, which I think fits our journey with Molly perfectly.

If you have trouble seeing the video here, you can follow this link to watch it on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOCEdrWZMyg

Kathleeeney,

This is probably the tenth time I’ve watched this video since you gave us the DVD at the Memorial. I have yet to be able to watch it without tears running down my face.

You did such a wonderful job of capturing the emotion of that day. The song is so perfect also. I printed out the lyrics you sent to Mom, Dad, and me today and followed along the last time I watched.

Kath, thanks for making such a beautiful tribute to our sweet Molly.

Love,
(Aunt) Meg

That was beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing. I again am in tears reading your blog. I especially became emotional seeing Sean so lovingly hold his sister. I continue to think of you and your family everyday. Love, Kristie

Oh, Kathy.

I am in tears – and they aren’t even tears of sadness. They are tears of amazement.

She is just so gorgeous. The love of your family is just so apparent.

There can be such sadness in how short a time Molly was with you, but I only saw sweet happiness. Your little girl brought so much of that to you.

Love,
Katie

Kathy
I am visiting your site for the first time and just want to comment on this wonderful memorial to your daughter. Seeing your son with Molly also brought me to tears as it reminded me of bringing our daughter to see her sister in the hospital.
I am glad you have these photos and such wonderful family and support.
my thoughts will be with all of you.

I just found your blog today, through Sommer’s site. I want to tell you what an amazingly STRONG woman you are. You are truly an inspiration, and I am so very sorry for all of your losses. Molly is just a beautiful little soul, and I feel privileged to have been able to share in her photos and story. Your sweet baby girl will live on through the hearts and minds of all who have been touched by her poignant story.

Thank you. God bless you and you family.

Hi Kathy,
I’m normally a bit tentative about commenting on sites for the first time – I’m an inveterate lurker! But Mel at Stirrup Queens has bullied us all into NaComLeavMo with the express intent of pushing lurkers to get out there and tell people how they feel… so I’m popping up to say how very touching, dignified and loving your posts are. I found you through a convoluted blog-path shortly after Mollie Marie was born. I sat & cried in front of the computer when I read back into your archives, and also when I watched your lovely video. How wonderful that Mollie Marie knew smiling faces and loving hands for her entire life. I feel so humbled every time I read a new post from you that demonstrates how full of God’s grace you are. Mollie Marie has such a special family remembering her and celebrating her sadly short life on earth; you’re in my thoughts and prayers.

I’ve watched your video once before and couldn’t finish it do to my tears clouding my eyes. Today I watched it again and am so touched by the love that I see in everyone eyes, especially Sean’s. You are truly an amazing family. I continue to pray for you and your family.

Thank you for sharing your Molly with us. The tribute was amazing and, of course, I cried through it all. But it was truly a wonderful blessing to see the love and joy that you all shared with and for your sweet baby girl. Again, thank-you for allowing me to share those precious, all-too-brief moments. It was a heart breaking pleasure.
