No significant change!

in CHD, Echocardiograms, FET #1, Molly

At our echocardiogram today we very pleased and relieved to learn that there was essentially no change in Molly’s heart condition, thus buying her more time to grow and develop without us having to choose whether or not for me to take medication to try to help sustain her. Our baby girl’s atrial heart rate measurements averaged 115 bpm and ranged from 85-115. Molly’s ventricle heart rate measurements averaged 54 bpm and ranged from 54-69. Both were similar to what they were last week, at which point they averaged 113 bpm and 56 bpm. Two weeks ago they averaged 106 bpm and 54 bpm. There were no signs of heart failure, in that her heart rate was not significantly lower than 55 bpm, her heart was not enlarged, nor were there indications of fetal hydrops (abnormal accumulation of fluid within tissues of her body). We will return for another echocardiogram in two weeks.

Thank you again for everything, especially your thoughts and prayers for our daughter and our entire family. Having made it this far we know that Molly is a fighter and we hope and pray she has many more rounds left in her.

Our next echocardiogram is scheduled for Wednesday, February 13. Please join us in our positive thoughts and prayers that Molly’s heart will still be beating strongly on that day before Valentine’s Day. I do have a regular OB appointment this coming Monday, at which point I will be 19 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I will update here after that, if not before. Take care and may God bless you and your loved ones.

I am sure Molly is learning how strong woman you are and this is her way of letting us know she is a warrior and won’t give up that easy!

A big hug for both of you girls!
