Monitoring #3

in IVF #2 (second try), Sean

This is gonna be a quickie, but I wanted to be sure to check in and update for today…

This morning’s appointment went well. The office was busy, so I had to wait a bit, but no big deal. Today I am on day 7 of stimming and the u/s tech found 13 follicles (13.5, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8 & 6 under 8mm)! My endometirum lining today was 8 line. My E2 (estrogen level) from Wednesday was 166.

From what I can tell I continue to be following a similar pattern to that of my 1st IVF cycle, only I seem to be about one day behind where I was (as far as follicular development) that cycle. That cycle on day 6 of stimming I had 11 follicles (1 -14, 2 -12, 1 – 10, 1 -9 & 6 under 9mm), my endometrium lining was 8.5 line and on day 4 of stimming that cycle my estrogen level was 125.

The nurse told me that I will likely not need to “go downtown” to the office there for monitoring tomorrow (Saturday) morning, however she thinks I will be going on Sunday morning. I will get a call later today confirming that and letting me know the time for Sunday (it will probably be on the early side, as I recall with IVF#1 it was around 7:30am). I asked when she predicted I might trigger and she said she thought it would still be awhile, as my follicles had a way to go. That said, I still predict Monday! 😉 But time will tell…

Well, I gotta run as my parents are watching Sean overnight and I get to go meet Bob, who is/has been staying downtown at the Four Seasons for a work retreat the past few days! I will actually get to stay there with him tonight — too cool! When I know more about near future monitoring appointments and such I will try to post from Bob’s Blackberry later today/tonight! Thank you for your support, thoughts and prayers! Though I know that there are no guarantees, I continue to have a good feeling about this cycle, not necessarily that it will work, but that we will at least make it to the ER and ET this time! We’ll see..
